Synopsis: Most of the Agile-Scrum projects start tracking velocity and target to improve velocity.
Over a period of time even managers set the targets around improving velocity. This seems to be a good goal and if the team starts improving velocity, management is very happy about it.
But there is a fundamental difference in the way manufacturing companies operate and the way softwares do. For manufacturing producing more with same resources reduces price and increases profile however in software producing more can actually have adverse effect.
Would like to talk about how to solve this dilemma and set goals for teams
Learning objectives/takeaways for the audience:
1. Getting to think if we are setting right goals
2. Choosing right goals for teams
3. Setting up evaluation mechanisms
