What is your view of Business Analysis? Do different roles like project managers, product owners, system analyst, and quality analyst needs business analysis skills?
As per PMI view, The Business Analyst is one who performs Business Analysis activities regardless of their title is a Business Analyst. We may or may not have Business Analyst assigned to projects.

In this talk, I will present the PMI view of Business Analysis needed throughout the project for the successful business outcome and for realizing business benefits. Many recognize that Business Analyst role is not available in Agile but PMI sees Business Analyst as a skill set which is needed from project initiation to closure irrespective of project life cycle.

In the session, I will address:
    • The closer look Business Analysis tasks defined in PMI-PBA for all Business Analysis Domains.
    • The existence of Business Analysis in Agile and how Business Analyst exists in the Agile world.
